Collection: NYC Palimpsest

For the past seven years, I’ve explored the streets of New York City, capturing a unique form of urban storytelling through photography. My focus is on the layered, ripped, and weathered bill posters that adorn the city’s walls - an ever-changing canvas of advertising and cultural commentary. These posters, often promoting luxury brands and featuring people of all races and backgrounds, become unintended collages as time, the human hand and the elements reshape them.

Nothing is manipulated. I take these images the as I find them, appreciating the raw aesthetic created by chance. My skill lies in the composition, turning these fragments into visually compelling images. The interplay of texture, color, and content results in prints that are edgy and evocative, offering a snapshot of the city’s energy and diversity.

These works are not just photographs; they’re a celebration of the urban landscape’s unintentional artistry. The prints bring a bold, gritty aesthetic to any wall, while also finding new life as wearable art. Through my lens, the overlooked and ephemeral become lasting and meaningful, reflecting the vibrant, chaotic spirit of New York City.
